About Fran's Blog

We found out on July 7th that Fran has colon cancer. We're blessed to have so many people in our lives that care and want to support us, particularly during this challenge. As many of you know, Fran will have surgery July 31st so I have created this blog to keep everyone apprised of Fran’s healing journey. Please feel free to check back often and post any comments or questions. With all our family and friends – we felt this was the best way to communicate so we can focus on Fran’s healing and recovery. ~ Love, Theresa

Tuesday evening.... we're home!

Fran is getting stronger everyday.. the doctor felt he was well enough to come home where he can get more rest and relaxation than in the hospital! We all know how difficult it is in the hospital to get any peace..

And... here at home we have "ChowLee", our dog!

I'm doing my best to keep that Blackberry away from him! Thank-you all for calling me, commenting on the blog and allowing Fran to continue to recover from his surgery.

    Jane and I have been watching your blog daily and glad to hear all the positive news. I want you to know that Jane had a birdie [on Friday] and dedicated it to you! I am sure you'll have a speedy recovery and, hopefully, be in Austin for a Longhorn's game this autumn.

    Looks like we both are winning. Sorry to say I used Fran's misfortune for personal gain, but these are tought times. When Vegas started taking action I jumped all over it. Fran Ford vs. colon cancer - I bet the house on Fran. Keep the good news news coming!!!

    What wonderful news! Now how did I know that Fran would beat the record for getting out of the hospital after that kind of surgery? ;-)

    Fran, you did not miss anything spectacular at the SAAC Show, but we certainly did have some fun and maybe a few cocktails for you buddy!

    Theresa, thanks so much for keeping us all informed of how Fran has been doing...I know we have all been glued to this blog...and I have NEVER blogged! And YES, keep that darn Crackberry away from him!
